I’m a clinical psychologist based in New York City and a certified teacher and supervisor of Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy (DSP). I teach DSP-informed workshops internationally, offering lectures, live demonstrations, and case supervision. I integrate DSP with my background in Gestalt therapy and relational psychoanalysis to offer a nuanced, embodied approach to psychotherapy. My clinical expertise includes the treatment of perfectionism, addiction, ADHD, anxiety and depression, and issues related to identity, immigration, and major life transitions.

I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University, where I focused on contemporary psychoanalytic and Gestalt therapies, and conducted research on heart rate variability (HRV) biofeedback with patients in recovery. I also hold a master’s degree from Seoul National University, where I studied the psychological dimensions of positive and negative perfectionism. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx and later worked as a staff psychologist at Mount Sinai/Elmhurst Hospital. There, I coordinated training for the substance use disorder track in the psychology internship program and held a faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

In addition to my clinical and academic training, I draw on a background in philosophy and theater, which informs my appreciation for a phenomenological and action-oriented approach to psychotherapy. I am a certified practitioner, teacher, and supervisor of Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy through the Center for Somatic Studies, where I continue to teach and develop this movement-based, experiential approach to therapeutic work.
